Russia and India to sign rocket engine deal
Russia and India are about to sign a big deal for making rocket engines in India.
The head of Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, said they will work together on this.
They will give India some engines and then make more in India under a special agreement.
This is part of a larger friendship in space.
Russia is also helping India with its plan to send people into space, called Gaganyaan.
The Roscosmos chief praised India's fast progress in space and said they have great potential together.
Roscosmos and ISRO are set to sign a deal for the licensed production of rocket engines in India.
The agreement will involve Russia providing some engines and then producing more in India under license.
This collaboration is separate from other joint efforts, including Russia's support for India's Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme.
Roscosmos is assisting India with seats and special equipment for the Gaganyaan programme, drawing on Russia's expertise in manned missions.
Dmitry Bakanov, Roscosmos Director General, praised India's rapid advancements in space technology and its competitive space market.
