Engine Failure Sinks Newly Delivered $9.1 Million Superyacht Off Sardinia

A very big, fancy boat called Angiola II cost about $9.1 million.

It was just given to its new owner four days before it sank.

The boat's engine stopped working, and that started a fire.

The fire hurt the parts of the boat that keep water out, so water got inside.

The boat tipped onto its side near the island of Sardinia in Italy.

There were 14 people on the boat, and all of them got to safety.

The boat's owner, an Italian businessman, was the last one to leave.

The coast guard came to help and put special booms around the sunken boat in case fuel leaked out.

So far, no fuel leak has been found.

People are investigating why the engine failed, and the boat will be brought up from the sea floor soon.
