Youth Scammed with Fake US Dollars at Chandigarh Airport
A young man named Balinder Singh was tricked by someone named Gaurav.
Gaurav told Balinder that he would help him go to the UK.
Balinder gave Gaurav some real British money.
In return, Gaurav gave Balinder fake American dollars and a fake airplane ticket.
When Balinder realized the money and ticket were fake, he felt cheated.
The police have now started investigating this scam.
Balinder Singh was promised a UK visa and flight ticket by Gaurav.
He gave Gaurav £1,960 in exchange for an envelope containing $7,000 in fake US dollars.
The fake dollars had 'The United State of Children' printed on them.
Gaurav also provided a forged IndiGo Airlines ticket.
The incident occurred on December 15, 2025, at Chandigarh Airport.
