Trump administration detains families of 50+ active-duty troops
The government in the United States has new immigration rules.
These rules say some people who came from other countries may have to leave.
Many of these people are the moms, dads, husbands, and wives of soldiers.
A news group called the Associated Press found that more than 50 soldier family members have been taken and kept in special buildings.
At least six of them have been sent back to other countries.
This makes it hard for soldiers to do their jobs.
One soldier named Hedar said he is too worried about his wife to focus on work.
His wife was taken away in July in front of their six-year-old daughter.
Before, the rules usually protected military families.
Now many people are worried about what will happen next.
An Associated Press investigation found the Trump administration has detained parents and spouses of more than 50 active-duty US military personnel.
At least six family members of US troops have already been deported under the policy.
At least eight immediate family members of US military personnel remain in federal immigration custody.
The detentions come as the administration rolls back long-standing bipartisan immigration protections for military families.
