Sohini Roychowdhury’s Tour Connects Cultures Through Dance

Sohini Roychowdhury is a dancer who uses Bharatanatyam to tell stories and share ideas.

In May 2026, she performed and spoke with students in Austria and the German Alps.

She explained ideas connected to Shiva and Indian classical dance.

Her Land of Happy project makes dance sessions welcoming for neurodivergent children and young adults.

In Austria, she joined an inclusive festival with 65 artists.

She also brought Bharatanatyam together with Brazilian Samba.

In Reading, she and flamenco dancer Irene Hernandez Diaz combined Indian and Spanish traditions.

The tour showed how people can share feelings and stories through different kinds of dance.
