Parth Pawar Land Scam: Government Letter Reveals Plot Vacation Request
There's a big problem with a land deal in Pune.
A woman named Sheetal Tejwani is accused of not telling the truth about a deal worth Rs 300 crore.
She was arrested and the police think she might have been talking to other people involved using a phone that wasn't in her name.
The land was supposed to be leased to a government organization but was sold to a company without proper approval.
The police have more time to question her.
A new letter shows that the government asked the Botanical Survey of India to leave the land so that the company could take control.
The land was worth much more than what was paid, and the company got a big discount on taxes.
The son of a powerful politician is involved, but his name isn't in the official report.
Sheetal Tejwani is accused of withholding information about a Rs 300 crore land deal in Mundhwa, Pune.
Tejwani was using a mobile phone registered under someone else’s name, possibly to communicate with other accused individuals.
The Pune court has extended Tejwani's police custody by four days.
Tejwani held the power of attorney for 272 watandars of Mahar watan land in Mundhwa for its sale to Amadea Enterprises LLP.
The land deal is controversial as it was sold without the mandatory approval of the state government and involved a nominal stamp duty of Rs 500.
