Visakhapatnam Reschedules Flash Mob, Beach Walk for Airport Inauguration
The city of Visakhapatnam is holding a big dance and walk on the beach to celebrate its growth.
The event was moved to July 31 from an earlier time so it wouldn’t clash with a big airport opening that the Prime Minister will attend.
The dance starts at 4 pm and the walk begins at 5:30 pm.
People from all over the city are invited to join.
The goal is to show how clean and tourist-friendly the city is and to highlight the new airport’s importance.
GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg rescheduled the ‘Proudly Vizag’ flash mob and beach walk to Friday, July 31, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
The event will run along RK Beach from Matsya Darshini to the Kursura Submarine Museum.
The change was made to avoid conflict with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport on August 1.
The flash mob will start at 4 pm, followed by a beach walk beginning at 5:30 pm.
The programme aims to raise awareness of Visakhapatnam’s development, cleanliness, tourism potential and the airport’s strategic importance.
