Maruti Suzuki Targets Faster Electric Vehicle Sales Growth

Maruti Suzuki Targets Faster Electric Vehicle Sales Growth

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to sell more electric cars in India.

However, its factories cannot yet make enough electric vehicles for the local market.

The company says this problem may improve in three to four months.

Its domestic electric-car expansion is expected to continue into 2027.

Maruti currently sells one electric model in India, called the eVitara.

It is also developing more electric vehicles, including a smaller car.

New factories in Gujarat and Haryana are being prepared and stabilized.

Electric-car sales in India are growing quickly, while Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra currently have an early lead.
