NSE, BSE to Remain Open on Raksha Bandhan

India’s main stock exchanges will not close for Raksha Bandhan on August 28.

The NSE and BSE will allow trading as usual.

Several types of trading, including shares and derivatives, will be available.

Commodity trading on the MCX will also continue.

The next planned market closure is on September 14 for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Other holidays are scheduled for October, November and December.

During the reported week, stock markets were affected by higher oil prices, rising bond yields and geopolitical concerns.

The Nifty 50 and Sensex both ended the week lower.
