Tamil Nadu Assembly condemns Karnataka forest firing, demands CBI probe

A few men from Tamil Nadu went to look for their cows.

They entered a protected forest area in Karnataka to search for their cattle.

Forest guards fired at them during this incident.

Three men died and one man was badly injured.

Forest officials said the men were poachers hunting deer and that the guards fired to protect themselves.

Families of the victims said the men were only looking for their cows.

Leaders from all political parties in the Tamil Nadu Assembly were angry about the shooting.

They asked for a top investigation agency, the CBI, to look into the case.

They also said the compensation offered by the Karnataka government was too little.

They want the injured man's medical costs paid and the families to get proper help.
