Burdwan Introduces Labs for Road Material Testing
In Burdwan, a new lab has been opened to test materials used for building roads.
This lab will help check if the materials are good quality before they are used.
The lab was opened by Gargi Naha, and more labs like this will be opened in the future.
The lab will do different tests to make sure the roads last a long time.
Sandip Sarkar, who works with the panchayats, said this will help make sure the roads are built well.
Pradip Majumdar, the state panchayat minister, is happy about this because it will help stop problems with poor-quality roads.
East Burdwan Zilla Parishad inaugurated a civil laboratory to test road construction materials.
The lab will conduct various tests to ensure the quality of materials used in road construction.
16 such labs will be installed in phases, one for each block in the district.
