Bombay HC Stays Money Laundering Case Against Nawab Malik
The Bombay High Court has temporarily stopped the trial of a money laundering case against Nawab Malik, a former minister and leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
The special court had earlier charged Malik and three others, and the trial was about to start.
Malik's lawyers asked the high court to pause the proceedings because they wanted more details about the documents the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has.
The ED said they don't have those documents, and Malik disagreed with this.
The high court agreed to temporarily stop the trial while they decide on Malik's request.

Charges were framed against Malik and three others by the special court in November 2025.
Malik's lawyers challenged the special court’s order from September regarding document details.
