Puducherry Wins Health Ministry Award for Tobacco-Free Youth
Puducherry got a prize from the government!
It's because they did a great job with a program to keep kids away from tobacco.
They put yellow lines near schools to stop people from selling tobacco there and worked with the police to catch anyone selling it.
They also made sure to talk about this in medical schools and health centers, teaching people about the dangers of tobacco.
This program aimed to make sure young people didn't start using tobacco products.
Puducherry received an award from the Union Health Ministry.
The award recognizes the best performance in the 'tobacco-free youth campaign 2.0'.
