Vijayendra Says Ballari Chalo Launches BJP’s Continued Fight
The BJP held a 10-day walking campaign called Ballari Chalo in Karnataka.
It ended with a large meeting in Ballari on Thursday.
BJP leader B.Y. Vijayendra said the campaign was only the beginning of the party’s opposition to the Congress government.
He said the BJP would keep campaigning for about 21 more months.
The party plans to visit all 224 Assembly constituencies and discuss local problems.
Vijayendra said the march helped the BJP hear from farmers, workers, young people, women and other communities.
He accused the government of corruption and of not doing enough for development.
He also demanded help for farmers and action in an alleged development corporation scam.
The Congress government’s response to these allegations was not included in the articles.
BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra said the 10-day Ballari Chalo padayatra marked only the first phase of the party’s campaign against the Congress government.

Vijayendra said the BJP would continue its campaign for roughly the next 21 months and tour all 224 Karnataka constituencies with senior leaders.
