Telangana HC Stays GHMC Land Acquisition Notices for KBR Park Road Expansion
The Telangana High Court has temporarily stopped the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) from taking over land for expanding a road near KBR National Park.
This is because some property owners said the GHMC didn't follow the right process when they sent notices.
The court will look into this further in a few weeks.
Telangana High Court granted a 2-week interim stay on GHMC land acquisition notices for KBR Park road expansion
The stay is for 21 property owners on Road No.12, Banjara Hills, against GHMC's land acquisition for road network expansion around KBR National Park
Petitioners argued that the notices were issued without following due process and violated their constitutional rights
GHMC claimed the notices were issued for better accessibility from Virinchi Hospital to Jubilee Hills Check Post and Maharaja Agrasen Junction
The matter has been posted to November 24 for further examination
