Andhra Pradesh targets 2 lakh rooftop solar installations by May 2026
The Andhra Pradesh government wants to install solar panels on the roofs of 200,000 homes by May 2026.
They plan to finish most of these installations by March 2026.
This is part of a program called PM Surya Ghar–Muft Bijli Yojana, which helps people get free electricity.
The government is also working on other solar projects to help farmers and reduce electricity costs.
They are telling their workers to do the job quickly and well, or they might get in trouble.
Over 200,000 homes, especially those belonging to SC/ST communities, will benefit from this plan.
The government is also focusing on faster land acquisition, approvals, and awareness campaigns to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Andhra Pradesh aims to complete 2 lakh rooftop solar installations by May 2026.
1.5 lakh installations are targeted to be completed by March 2026.
The project is part of the PM Surya Ghar–Muft Bijli Yojana.
