Jharkhand Minister Pushes for Tribal, Regional Languages in Primary Education

A minister in Jharkhand, India, started a meeting about teaching kids in different languages.

He said it's important to use tribal and regional languages in schools because Jharkhand has many different languages.

Right now, five tribal languages are taught in some schools, but he wants to add four more regional languages too.

The minister believes this will help kids learn better and feel more confident.

The meeting has people from many states in India talking about how to make this happen.

Right now, 1,041 schools in eight districts are teaching kids in their own languages.
