Tech Stocks Rally, Oil Prices Surge Amid Middle East Tensions
On Friday, the U.S. stock market went up because many tech companies earned more money than people expected.
Amazon’s shares jumped 13% before the market opened, while Apple’s fell 7% after disappointing results.
Oil prices also went up, reaching $115 for Brent and $85 for WTI, because of fighting between the U.S. and Iran.
Big oil companies like Exxon Mobil and Chevron made a lot more profit, up 105% and 385% from last year.
The fighting in the Middle East made traders nervous, so oil prices stayed high.
Even though the tech market was doing well, the overall market still looked a bit shaky because of the conflict.
The news shows how earnings and politics can change stock and oil prices quickly.
Nasdaq‑100 futures rose 1.2% after a 3.36% rally, while S&P 500 and Dow futures gained 0.5% and 0.6%.
Amazon shares jumped 13% pre‑market on better‑than‑expected earnings; Apple fell 7% after disappointing results.
Oil prices climbed to $115 a barrel for Brent and $85 for WTI, driven by U.S.–Iran tensions and higher crude demand.
Exxon Mobil and Chevron reported double‑digit profit jumps, with net earnings up 105% and 385% YoY respectively.
Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, including U.S. strikes on Iran and Iranian attacks on U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, kept energy markets volatile.
