JSW MG Motor Calls for More Sub-4 Meter EVs
JSW MG Motor India says there aren't enough electric cars in the sub-4 meter category, which is a popular size for many buyers.
Right now, there are only a few EV options in this category, while there are many cars with regular engines.
The company thinks that more EV options in this size and price range will help more people buy electric cars.
They also say that people are now more interested in EVs than before.
Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and JSW MG Motor India are some of the companies that already have EVs in this category.
JSW MG Motor India highlights the need for more sub-4 meter electric vehicles (EVs) to boost EV penetration in India.
Currently, there are fewer than 10 EV models in the sub-4 meter category, compared to 35 internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director of JSW MG Motor India, notes that EV interest has increased significantly in the past 6-12 months.
Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, and JSW MG Motor India are the top manufacturers of EVs in the sub-4 meter category.
The current EV penetration in the Indian market is around 7-8%, with significant potential for growth.
