Delhi SIR Draft Roll Excludes Nearly 48 Lakh Voters

Delhi checked its voter list through a process called the Special Intensive Revision, or SIR.

Officials collected forms from 97.51 lakh voters.

This was about two-thirds of the voters listed when the process began.

Forms could not be collected from about 47.58 lakh to 47.7 lakh people.

Officials marked these entries as absent, shifted, dead, duplicate or belonging to other categories.

These names do not appear in the draft voter roll.

The final list has not been published yet.

The final electoral rolls are expected on November 4, and counters to the exclusions are due by September 30.
