Tirupati Biryani Restaurant Sealed Over Food Poisoning Complaint
A restaurant called Biryani Factory in Tirupati was shut down by the city officials.
A young girl got sick after eating biryani there, so the city sent inspectors to check the place.
They found many problems: the chicken was stored badly, the freezer didn’t work, there were rotten vegetables, and the kitchen was dirty.
The restaurant didn’t even have a trade licence.
Because of these safety problems, the city closed the restaurant and sent food samples to a lab.
The city commissioner warned that businesses must keep clean and have licences, and told people to be careful about cheap food.
Biryani Factory restaurant near Jagjivan Ram Park was sealed by Tirupati Municipal Corporation.
The closure followed a complaint that a young girl suffered suspected food poisoning after eating there.
Inspection revealed no municipal trade licence, improper chicken storage, no labels, a broken freezer, spoiled vegetables, rodent droppings, and unhygienic kitchen conditions.
Workers were found handling food without personal protective equipment, increasing contamination risk.
Food samples were sent to a laboratory, and the commissioner warned of strict action against non‑compliant businesses.
