BJP Rolls Out Grand Welcome for New UP Chief
Pankaj Chaudhary is the new leader of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
When he visits different parts of the state, many party workers come to welcome him with big celebrations.
They use thousands of cars and even special machines to throw flowers on him.
This is happening because Chaudhary is new to many people in the party, and they want to get to know him better.
He is also preparing the party for the big elections that will happen in 2027.
Some people say these big welcomes are also to show that the BJP supports people from different communities, especially the OBC group that Chaudhary belongs to.
Pankaj Chaudhary, the new UP BJP president, received a grand welcome with 12,000 vehicles and flower showers during his visits across the state.
The welcomes were organized to introduce Chaudhary to party workers and help him form a new state team for the 2027 Assembly elections.
Chaudhary's visits included stops in Awadh, Kashi, Braj, Paschim, and Gorakhpur, with similar grand welcomes in each region.
The scale of the welcomes is unprecedented compared to previous BJP state presidents, with some attributing it to Chaudhary's limited prior political involvement outside his constituency.
The welcomes also serve to counter the Samajwadi Party's PDA (Pichchda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) push and showcase the BJP's support for OBC communities.
