MP LoP Criticizes Police Action Against Ken-Betwa Protesters

In Madhya Pradesh, protesters led by Amit Bhatnagar were demonstrating against the Ken-Betwa Link Project for 14 days.

They were alleging corruption and violations of tribal rights.

The police forcibly removed and detained around 150 protesters.

The Leader of Opposition, Umang Singhar, criticized the police action, calling it undemocratic.

He demanded the immediate release of the protesters and urged the government to listen to their concerns and conduct a fair investigation.
