NAPS 2.0 Benefits Over 93,000 Youth in Andhra Pradesh
The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS 2.0) has helped over 93,000 young people in Andhra Pradesh get job training in different industries over the last four years.
The government says this training helps young people learn skills that companies need, making it easier for them to find jobs.
More than 1,000 businesses in Andhra Pradesh are part of this program.
The government also makes sure that the money given to trainees goes directly to their bank accounts, so there is no misuse.
The money given to the program has increased a lot, showing that the government wants to keep supporting it.
An MP from Andhra Pradesh says the program is good but thinks the state government should do more to connect schools with local businesses.
This would help more young people find jobs and help the state's economy grow.
Over 93,000 youth in Andhra Pradesh have benefited from NAPS 2.0 in the last four years.
1,135 industrial establishments in Andhra Pradesh are part of the program.
Stipends are credited directly to apprentices' bank accounts through the DBT system.
Financial support for the scheme has increased from Rs 4.43 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 19.69 crore in 2024-25.
MP Kesineni Sivanath calls for further expansion of the program by linking educational institutions with local industries.
