Ajay Banga Says India’s Development Offers Global Lessons

Ajay Banga leads the World Bank.

He said other countries can learn from how India uses technology to support development.

India’s digital systems, including Aadhaar and bank accounts, were one example he mentioned.

He also described technology that helps small farmers get important supplies and services.

In Uttar Pradesh, cooperatives used Google technology with World Bank support to help farmers.

The World Bank is working with India on schools, healthcare, infrastructure, skills and rules for businesses.

It is also looking at tourism and support for small and medium-sized companies.

Banga said technology could help connect local health centers with doctors and hospitals.

He said India’s future will depend on both its own economic progress and its role in the world.
