Hyderabad Commission Orders Realty Firm to Pay ₹55.8 Lakh

Suresh Kumar Chinta put ₹17.5 lakh into a white sandalwood plantation plan.

The land was registered in his name, and an agreement said the company would plant and care for the trees.

The company also promised him regular payments.

It stopped making those payments in October 2023.

Chinta asked a consumer commission to help him.

The company did not appear when the case was heard.

The commission said the agreement was still valid and the company had not followed it.

It ordered the company to pay ₹60,000 each month for 93 months.

The total ordered under that part was ₹55.8 lakh, along with ₹25,000 for mental agony and ₹5,000 in legal costs.
