Vijayawada Launches Citywide Cleanliness Campaign Seeking Public Participation

Vijayawada began a campaign to make the city cleaner.

The campaign asks everyone, not just sanitation workers, to help manage waste properly.

People were taught to separate different kinds of waste into colored bins.

Students and women received messages about reducing plastic and using cloth bags.

People were also encouraged to plant trees and reuse waste when possible.

Officials asked Ganesh festival devotees to use special immersion points.

A rally was held to spread messages about cleanliness and protecting the environment.

Another campaign event took place in JD Nagar, where residents were asked to give separated wet and dry waste to sanitation workers.
