India's Economic Growth and Future Prospects
India is growing its economy fast.
The IMF and World Bank say India will grow by 7.3% in 2025-26.
India wants to be a high-income country by 2047, which means each person should earn more money.
Right now, the goal is to grow the average income by 8.9% every year.
India is also on track to become an upper middle-income country by 2030, with an average income of around $4,500.
The country is expected to become the third-largest economy by 2028.
India has been growing its economy well, and it needs to keep doing this to reach its goals.
The government and banks are working to make sure this happens.
India needs a per capita GNI growth rate of 8.9% to reach high-income status by 2047, according to SBI.
The current GNI threshold for high-income status is $13,936, but it may rise to $18,000 by 2047.
India's per capita GNI has grown at a CAGR of 8.3% over the last 23 years, making the goal seem achievable.
To meet this goal, India needs a nominal GDP growth rate of 11.5% over the next 23 years.
India is projected to become an upper middle-income country by 2030, with a per capita GNI of around $4,500.
