Ravi Shankar Prasad Calls CJP Protests ‘Shadow Boxing’

Ravi Shankar Prasad, a leader of the BJP, criticized protests about electoral rolls and Gyanesh Kumar.

He said the protests were political theatre and were meant to help opposition parties.

Prasad said the government has a legal process for checking voter lists.

He argued that people who have died or do not live in a constituency should not be listed there as voters.

He also said people should not be registered to vote in more than one place.

Prasad pointed to BJP election wins in Assam, Nandigram and Puducherry.

He said protests are allowed, but claimed these protests were being used for political reasons.

These were Prasad’s criticisms and claims.
