Rajasthan HC Rejects Reinstatement After Election Defeat

Rajasthan HC Rejects Reinstatement After Election Defeat

Neeraj Bishnoi worked as a senior auditor for North Western Railway.

He resigned from his government job so he could run in a Rajasthan election.

He ran from Ratangarh for the Bahujan Samaj Party but lost.

After the election, he asked to get his old job back.

He said he had applied within the allowed time.

He also said he did not know his resignation could affect his pension and retirement benefits.

Government officials and the Central Administrative Tribunal rejected his request.

The Rajasthan High Court agreed with those decisions.

The court said choosing to run for election was voluntary, and losing the election was not enough to cancel the resignation.
