MRVC Completes Major Deck Concreting at Virar Station
The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation finished a big concrete job at Virar station.
They poured 850 square metres of new deck over the tracks.
This is part of two big projects that will add more train lines and make the station bigger.
They also built a new station building and widened some platforms so more people can travel easily.
The work will help Mumbai’s trains carry more passengers in the future.
MRVC finished 850 sqm of deck concreting at Virar station overnight.
Work is part of Virar–Dahanu Road Quadrupling and Borivali–Virar line projects.
Redevelopment includes new station building, 8,000 sqm elevated deck, and platform upgrades.
Platform 5B now handles 15‑coach EMU trains; Platforms 3A/4A widened and extended.
The project aims to boost Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s suburban rail capacity.
