Munawar Faruqui Denies Arrest Rumours After Viral Video
A video online showed a man being taken toward a vehicle.
Someone in the video called the man “Munawar.”
Some people thought the man was comedian Munawar Faruqui and said he had been arrested.
They connected the rumor to his absence from a cricket league event.
Munawar replied online with a joke saying he was also trying to find himself in the video.
This suggested that the man was not him.
No credible report confirmed that Munawar had been arrested that night.
Munawar had been arrested in an earlier case in 2021, but this was a separate incident.
Munawar Faruqui rejected social-media claims that he had been arrested after a video went viral.
The clip showed a man being escorted toward a vehicle while someone called him “Munawar.”
Users linked the alleged arrest to Faruqui’s absence from the Entertainers Cricket League Season 3 curtain-raiser on September 28.
Faruqui responded on X, “I’m also looking for myself in the video,” suggesting the man was not him.
Faruqui was last seen on The Traitors India Season 2, where he was eliminated early and later appeared in the reunion episode.
