Kerala and Tamil Nadu plan economic partnership
Two states in India, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, are planning to work together to build industries, improve digital governance, and make it easier to move goods between them.
This idea started when the ministers from both states had a chat over dinner in New Delhi.
They had their first official meeting in Chennai just two weeks later to discuss how to make this happen.
They want to make both states stronger economically by sharing resources and knowledge.
Kerala and Tamil Nadu are planning an economic partnership to boost industrial capacity and digital governance.
The idea originated from a dinner conversation between the industries ministers of both states on November 11, 2023.
A formal meeting was held in Chennai on November 25, 2023, to discuss the partnership.
The partnership aims to build shared industrial capacity, digital governance models, and cross-border logistics ecosystems.
The initiative was sparked by the Udyog Samagam 2025 conference.
