MP CM Yadav vows Shipra river clean for 2028 Kumbh
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has promised to make the Shipra river clean and pollution-free before the next Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2028.
This event, held every 12 years in Ujjain, is very important for Hindu devotees who take holy dips in the river.
The Shipra river is currently polluted by water from the Kanh and Saraswati rivers.
To fix this, the government plans to store rainwater in a reservoir and release it gradually into the Shipra to keep the water flowing.
