Russia to Offer Visa-Free Travel to Chinese Citizens
Russia is letting Chinese citizens visit without needing a visa because China is doing the same for Russians.
President Putin announced this at an economic forum.
China will allow Russians to visit without visas for up to 30 days starting in mid-September.
This makes it easier for people from both countries to travel.
It is in response to China’s easing of travel rules.
Leaders highlighted their friendly relationship and discussed energy cooperation, including a new gas pipeline.
This announcement follows strained relations between China and the US, where the US announced visa restrictions for Central American nationals allegedly working with the Chinese Communist Party.
Russia will introduce visa-free entry for Chinese citizens.
This decision was announced by President Vladimir Putin.
The announcement was made at an economic forum in Vladivostok.
The visa-free travel is in response to China’s easing of travel rules for Russians.
China will allow visa-free access for Russians on a trial basis for up to 30 days, starting September 15.
