Congress Demands Action Over Bulk Form-7 Submissions

Congress leaders in Hyderabad raised concerns about many Form-7 voter forms being submitted in several assembly areas.

They said BJP booth-level agents were involved.

Congress asked the police commissioner to investigate and take action against people accused of submitting the forms.

It also said BJP state president N. Ramachander Rao should face a case if he helped distribute pre-printed forms.

Congress leaders said Rao had earlier denied that the BJP was involved.

They said police had registered a case against one accused booth-level officer after a complaint.

The BJP’s position, as described by Congress, was that the party and its leaders had no role in the submissions.

Congress argued that false information submitted to government officials is a crime.
