Trump's Board of Peace Launched in Davos
US President Donald Trump has created a new group called the 'Board of Peace' to help bring peace to Gaza and other places.
This board would be led by Trump forever, and countries would have to pay a lot of money to join.
Some countries, like Pakistan, Hungary, Israel, and the UAE, have said they will join.
However, other countries and leaders, like Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and France's President Emmanuel Macron, are worried.
They think the board might not be fair because the US would be in charge, and it might not follow the rules of the United Nations.
The board's first big meeting is going to be in Davos, Switzerland, but not everyone is happy about it.
Some countries, like Norway and Sweden, have already said they won't join.
Trump has threatened to punish countries that refuse to join, like France, by putting high taxes on their wines and champagnes.
Trump's Board of Peace aims to be a more effective international peace-building body, chaired by Trump for life.
About 35 world leaders have committed to the board, with a $1 billion membership fee for permanent status.
The board's mandate has expanded beyond Gaza to tackle other global crises, raising concerns about its role and legitimacy.
Several European countries, including France, Norway, and Sweden, have declined or are unsure about joining due to constitutional and legal concerns.
Critics argue the board undermines the United Nations and concentrates power in Trump's hands, while supporters see it as a valuable development for global peace.
