Gujarat to Illuminate Varanasi Ghats for Dev Deepawali 2025
Imagine a big festival in India called Dev Deepawali.
The city of Varanasi will be lit up with 300,000 small lamps made in Gujarat, the home state of the Prime Minister.
People from Gujarat are making these lamps, which gives jobs to women.
The festival is a big deal, attracting many visitors to see the glowing river.
It's like the gods come to watch too.
This year's event is special because it also connects Varanasi with Ayodhya, also using lamps made in Gujarat.
It’s about culture, jobs, and everyone coming together.
Varanasi ghats will be illuminated with 3 lakh diyas from Gujarat for Dev Deepawali 2025.
The Rewa Foundation engaged 200 women artisans in Gujarat to make the diyas.
The initiative aims to strengthen cultural and political ties between Gujarat and Varanasi.
Over 10 lakh visitors are expected to attend the festival.
Dev Deepawali is celebrated on Kartik Purnima, fifteen days after Diwali.
