Actor Ayesha Khan Detained During Student Protests

Actor Ayesha Khan was detained by the Mumbai Police on July 22 while trying to show support for student protests demanding education reforms.

She was standing by the roadside with friends when she was detained without explanation.

Videos of her detention went viral on social media, and she was released after about three hours.

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which led the protests, later thanked her for her support.

The protests were part of a larger movement that included a hunger strike by educator Sonam Wangchuk.
