1X Technologies Unveils NEO, a $20,000 Humanoid Robot for Home Assistance
Imagine a new robot friend named NEO that can help out around your house!
NEO is a tall, friendly-looking robot that weighs about as much as a large dog.
It's strong enough to lift heavy things and carry your groceries.
NEO can also talk to you, understand what you say, and even suggest recipes based on the food it sees in your kitchen.
It's designed to be quiet and gentle, with a soft body and hands that can do delicate tasks.
NEO can learn your routines and help with chores, and you can even schedule someone to teach it new skills.
While it's quite expensive right now, NEO is meant to make life easier by taking care of jobs that take up our time.
1X Technologies has launched NEO, a humanoid robot designed for home assistance tasks.
NEO can lift over 150 pounds, carry up to 55 pounds, cook, and engage in conversational interactions.
The robot features a soft polymer body, quiet operation, WiFi, Bluetooth, 5G, and is backed by a large language model.
NEO is priced at $20,000 for early access units, with deliveries starting in 2026 in the US.
The company aims to move humanoid robots from industrial settings into everyday homes, though early units may require teleoperation.
