Bengal Police Bust Fake Birth-Death Certificate Racket
The Bengal Police found a big group of people making fake birth and death certificates in Gosaba.
They arrested a couple from Kolkata who used a fake death certificate to take over a shop.
The police found out that this group made thousands of fake certificates.
They are still checking and arresting more people involved.
Bengal Police uncovered a racket issuing thousands of fake birth and death certificates in Gosaba, South 24 Parganas district.
A Kolkata-based couple, George Clinton Dickson and Carol Erickson Dickson, were arrested for using a fake death certificate to take possession of a rented shop.
The fake death certificate was allegedly made through an agent and Gautam Sardar from Pathankoli in the Gosaba area.
Police discovered that 3,000 fake birth certificates and 510 fake death certificates were issued through Gautam Sardar.
Earlier investigations into fake passports also traced fraudulent birth certificates to Pathankhali.
