Twins Sign Rogers and Caratini
The Minnesota Twins have signed two new players to help their team.
Taylor Rogers is a left-handed pitcher who has played for many teams.
He will help the Twins' bullpen, which is the group of pitchers who come in at the end of games.
Rogers has a good record and can strike out a lot of batters.
The Twins also signed Victor Caratini, a catcher who can also play first base and designated hitter.
Caratini is a good hitter and has a low catcher ERA, which means the pitchers he catches have good records.
Both players will help the Twins improve their team for the next season.
Twins signed left-hander Taylor Rogers to a one-year, $2 million contract to bolster their bullpen.
Rogers has a career 3.34 ERA in 566 relief appearances with 626 strikeouts in 541 1/3 innings.
Twins also finalized a two-year, $14 million deal with catcher Victor Caratini.
Caratini hit .259 in 2025 with career bests of 12 homers and 46 RBIs.
To make room for Rogers and Caratini, the Twins designated reliever Pierson Ohl and catcher Jhonny Pereda for release or assignment.
