Telangana Heritage Department Identifies Monuments for Protection
The Telangana Heritage Department is on a mission!
They're going around the state to find old and important places, like temples and caves, to add them to a special list of protected monuments.
Right now, there are already 346 of these protected places.
The team is starting in one district to check out cool places from way back in time.
Some of these places have amazing paintings and rocks.
They plan to visit other districts and finish their list in a few months.
When a place is on the protected list, it gets extra care and attention from the government, making sure people know about and appreciate the history around them.
The Telangana Heritage Department is identifying sites for inclusion in protected monuments.
The initiative began after the formation of Telangana.
The technical team has started in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
The state currently has 346 protected monuments.
The list of identified sites is expected to be prepared in the next three months.
