Suven Completes Phase-2b Enrollment for MDD Drug Trial Early
Suven Life Sciences, a company that makes medicines, finished signing up all the people needed for a big test of a new drug called Ropanicant.
This drug is for people who have a very sad and hopeless feeling called Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
They finished this step, called Phase-2b, much faster than they thought they would.
They signed up 195 people in less than six months, which is really good because it shows that many people want to help test this new medicine.
The test is happening in many places across the USA, and it will last for six weeks.
The company is very happy and thankful to everyone who helped make this happen.
They will share the results of the test by May 2026.
The goal is to see if Ropanicant can help people feel better when they have MDD.
Suven Life Sciences completed Phase-2b enrollment for Ropanicant in MDD trial ahead of schedule.
The trial enrolled 195 patients across 35 sites in the USA within six months.
The study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial lasting six weeks.
No significant safety concerns have been observed during the trial so far.
Results from the trial are expected to be presented by May 2026.
