Manisha Verma Appointed as Press Secretary to President Murmu

Manisha Verma, an experienced government communicator, is now the Press Secretary for the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.

She replaces Ajay Singh, who served in the role for six years.

Verma previously worked in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, where she handled communications.

Her appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

She has a long career in government service, and her term will last as long as President Murmu is in office.

This marks a return to an officer from the Indian Information Service in the position, after a decade.
