Jana Nayagan Slows, Hits ₹260 Cr Worldwide
Jana Nayagan is a big movie starring the famous actor Vijay.
It started very well, earning a lot of money on its first day.
After the weekend, the money earned each day went down a lot, and the lowest amount was on the eighth day.
Even though it made less money in India, it still earned a lot of money all over the world, about ₹260 crore.
The film got an ‘A’ rating, which means only adults can watch it, and the producer thinks this made fewer people go to see it.
New movies like Spider‑Man and The Odyssey are also playing in theatres, which makes it harder for Jana Nayagan to keep earning money.

Domestic collections fell sharply after the weekend, with the lowest single‑day haul of ₹3.98 crore on Day 8 and overall occupancy dropping to about 17 %.
Despite the domestic slowdown, the film has grossed roughly ₹260 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest‑grossing Tamil releases of 2026.
Producer KVN Venkat Narayanan says the film’s ‘A’ certification, instead of the recommended UA 16+, limited its audience, especially children.
The film faces stiff competition from Marvel’s Spider‑Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, and it had earlier piracy leaks and certification delays.
