AAP Accuses UP of Electoral Fraud
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Uttar Pradesh government and Election Commission of removing a large number of voters from the voter list, which they claim is the largest electoral fraud in the state's history.
According to AAP, the voter count dropped from 17 crore to 12.55 crore, effectively removing 4.5 crore voters.
The official data, however, shows that 2.89 crore voters were deleted.
AAP alleges that the government is manipulating the voter lists to remove opposition votes and add artificial votes.
They have demanded that the Supreme Court investigate the matter and make the complete voter records public.
The issue will also be raised with the chief electoral officer and in Parliament.
