Gandhari’s Hard-Hitting Action Cannot Overcome Its Fractured Plot
Gandhari is about a mother named Bani whose young daughter disappears.
She searches for Mishti in a city called Joypurra.
The city looks ordinary on the surface but hides a dangerous secret world.
Bani must overcome fear and confusion to find her child.
Taapsee Pannu plays Bani with convincing strength and emotion.
The movie also has several strong supporting actors.
However, many new characters and plot details make the story difficult to follow.
The villain’s reveal is less exciting than expected.
The review says the movie begins strongly but does not fully deliver on its promise.
Gandhari follows Bani, whose daughter Mishti disappears in the troubled city of Joypurra.
The film portrays Joypurra as a metropolis with a hidden, sinister underworld.
Taapsee Pannu delivers a physically convincing performance as a desperate, determined mother.
The supporting cast, including Ishwak Singh, Mita Vashisht, Chhaya Kadam, and Swastika Mukherjee, strengthens the film.
