BJP Achieves Major Victory in Uttarakhand Panchayat Elections
In Uttarakhand, local elections took place to choose leaders for local government.
The BJP party and candidates who are supported by them won many seats.
The Congress party also got some seats.
Many independent candidates also won.

Congress-backed candidates secured 83 seats in the Uttarakhand elections.
150 independent candidates also won in the elections.
A majority of independents are expected to align with the BJP.
