Supreme Court Orders CBI Probe into Cop's Custodial Castration in J&K

The Supreme Court is now making sure the police investigate what happened.
They're also giving the officer money to help him.
This all started when the officer said he was tortured.
He was hurt very badly, but the police didn't want to investigate.
The Court said this was wrong and that the police should have looked into it right away.
The court has ordered that the case be investigated properly and the police officers involved be arrested, to ensure justice for the officer who was harmed.
The Supreme Court ordered a CBI investigation into the custodial torture and castration of a J&K police constable.
The court directed the J&K administration to pay the victim Rs 50 lakh as interim compensation.
The High Court's decision to dismiss the constable's petition was overturned by the Supreme Court.
The constable was allegedly tortured for six days, resulting in amputation and other injuries.
